Dr. Bindi Zhu, owner of the Austin Acupuncture & Herb Health Center, takes a holistic approach to wellness using acupuncture that encompasses both conventional and traditional medicine. With 28 years experience, Dr. Zhu is a pioneer in the integration of conventional and Chinese medicine. Dr. Bindi Zhu has been a mentor for the residency programs in acupuncture and integrated medicine at the University of Texas at Galveston Medical School, Galveston, Texas, and Southwester Medical School, Dallas, Texas, since 2002. He teaches at the University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas, as an instructor for the Informal Classes program. He incorporated his private clinic, Acupuncture & Herb Health Center, in 1999. He became a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Texas in 1995. He taught as a professor and clinic instructor at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Austin, Texas, from 1992 to 2000. He taught as a professor of internal medicine and served as director of the Department of Integrated Medicine at Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heilongjiang, Harbin, China, in from 1991 to 1992. Dr. Zhu worked as a physician from 1983 to 1989 at Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Medical Center.
